Fees and Rebates

Clinical Psychologist Fee

Our Clinical Psychologists share the same commitment to excellence in psychological care, however each clinician sets their own fees based on their expertise.  Information regarding our fee structures will be discussed with you when you make your initial contact with Grow Your Life. We look forward to discussing how we can assist you to create a more meaningful and valued life. Rebates vary depending on the expertise of the Clinician (e.g., Registered Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist) and whether you possesss  Private Health Cover or a Medicare Mental Health Plan Referral.

Payment Options 

Payment can be made via cash or Eftpos. Payment is required at the time of the consultation.  Medicare Rebates, if applicable, can be processed directly to your account at the time of payment.

Cancellation Policy

In consideration of other clients who are waiting for appointment times, please provide 24 hours (1 working day) notice if you need to cancel an appointment, otherwise a cancellation fee of $50 is charged.  This fee is a subsidy for the time that has been set aside for you.  Medicare and Private Health Fund Rebates do not apply to cancelled or missed appointments. You are encouraged to keep your appointment even if you do not feel like attending the appointment.  Clinical Research confirms that people who attend their therapy sessions regularly receive the most benefit and change from therapy.

Private Health Fund

Private Health Funds (depending on the fund and coverage) can provide rebates for Non-Medicare based consultations.  You may present the receipt for services to your Private Health Fund to receive your eligible rebate amount.  It is recommended that you phone your Health Fund Provider to ascertain the level of rebate to expect.

Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP)

All holders of a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) obtained through a GP or Psychiatrist can claim a Medicare Rebate of $141.85 from a Clinical Psychologist for up to 10 individual sessions per calendar year.

Psycho-Educational Assessments 

Psycho-Educational Assessments of Cognitive, Academic and Literacy Functioning are available by appointment. The fees associated with the assessment vary depending on the nature and duration of both the assessment sessions and report requirements.

Neurocognitive Assessments

Neurocognitive Assessments are available by appointment.  The fees associated with the assessment vary depending on the nature and duration of  the assessment sessions and report requirements.

Group Therapy 

Costs for group therapy will vary depending on the type of therapeutic programs provided.  More information on this service is available by contacting the Grow Your Life practice.

Telehealth Consultations

Remote Telehealth telephone and video (e.g., Skype, Zoom, FaceTime) consulations are available. Note:  Telehealth consultations are not yet covered by Private Health Insurance and therefore must be paid privately prior to the appointment.
